Natalie Slinn’s Sylvaneth collection is the latest Guest Display for you to see in the Warhammer World Exhibition. As well as the professionally painted miniatures and dioramas, the Exhibition has regularly changing Guest Displays, showcasing amazing personal projects kindly loaned by fans of the hobby.
A long term labour of love, Natalie’s collection started six years ago, and she’s been adding to it since (There’s more, she decided to not put all of her Sylvaneth Dryads on show!)
Natalie’s paint scheme is very natural in tone, giving a beautifully creepy feel to the miniatures, evoking the idea of trees which have just awoken and stepped forward. Her spot colour choice of a cool light blue brings in the supernatural feel against the rich brown and greens.
You’ll spot some Glade Guard and other Wanderer miniatures among Natalie’s Sylvaneth. She wanted to keep these miniatures in her army, but in a way which meshed with the new narrative of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Natalie decided on the backstory of a small enclave of Elves being kept safe in the depths of the Wyldwoods, and now fighting from there alongside their protectors.
Come and see Natalie’s miniatures for yourself at the Warhammer World Exhibition, before they leave in August (end date TBC). Of course, you also get to see all of the other Guest Displays, thousands of our professionally painted miniatures, and around 25 specially built dioramas!
