Hallo, blog readers! I have a bit of a confession: I play far too many video games. I?m not exaggerating when I say I have thousands of them in my flat, from arcade machine boards to a PC with a GTX1080 in (it?s a bit nice, that.) Anyway, a lot of the games I play are Warhammer 40,000 games ? there?s a bunch of them on Steam, and they?re all pretty good.
Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is one of the ones I?ve been spending a lot of time with ? it?s an 3rd-person online multiplayer tactical shooter with tanks in, set in the grim darkness of the far future. Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks and Eldar are playable (I play Orks, because of course I do), and it?s a decent bit of solid, meaty combat.
It launches today, after a period in Early Access where the devs have been tweaking and tuning, making adjustments and balancing to make it the monstrous slab of gaming content it is right now:
- 7 15 v 15 maps!
- 2 30 v 30 maps!
- 2 5-man PvE maps!
- 3 vehicle types per faction!
- Hundreds of items!
- Lots more things worthy of exclamation marks!
Go and have a look at its Steam store page here. And, well, if you have your face smashed off while playing by a massive Ork, it may well have been me. I?m not sorry at all.
